KEPS RUGBY

Rugby is growing rapidly at KEPS. Our 1st team participate in various festivals throughout the country during the course of the year. A highlight of the year is the King Edward Easter Festival, in which our 1st team participates, along with many other teams from across South Africa. Rugby is offered in the second term from Under 9 to Under 13 where fundamental basics are taught in preparation for the league.

We strive to play an attractive brand of rugby that will bring positive results. We have always been known for playing attacking rugby with the balance of a good defensive system as well. We take pride in expressing ourselves on the field and represent our School with aplomb.

Our rugby programme has proven successful over the past 10 years. This has been achieved through hard work and commitment from both the coaches and the players. This is evident by the number of provincial and national players we have been able to produce.

We take pride in the number of teams that participate across the age groups. We can field an A to F team in every age group which is a good reflection on the depth of talent available to the School. More importantly, all of these boys are enjoying the benefits of team work as well as the camaraderie.
